About Us
1. It is very much laudable that B.Com. Degree Course is offered for the hearing challenged students at Presidency College, Chennai -600 005 from the academic year 2007 -2008 onwards by Tamil Nadu Government Perhaps for the first time in India. 2. Now the Course is in full swing and progress for the benefit of these less privileged students who do not have a regular college forum for their degree studies. 3. Department caters to the needs of specially challenged students in gaining their livelihood by providing the basic UG degree. 4. It helps them to lead a normal life in terms of improved communication skills with the society. 5. The students are encouraged to lead a balanced way of life by making them understand their interaction to the society. 6. It will also help to gain professional skills that alter their way of life in their future employment, endeavor. 7. The department provides communication skills in English, which adds to the only known language up to their HSC level. 8. The Department helps to improve students, particularly from under privileged and downtrodden sections of the society.
